I downloaded the Epic Games Launcher and installed Unreal Engine 4.15.0 but it will not launch. When I click the yellow Launch button it turns gray and reads “Please wait…” for a few moments and then returns back to being yellow and reading Launch without actually loading up Unreal. What do I do to fix this? Am I missing any specific software?
Hi ,
Try clicking the yellow down arrow button on the Engine Launcher button and selecting “Verify.” If this does not correct the the issue, make sure you are not running anti-virus that is stopping a completed download of UE4 -or- you may need to add an exception to your Firewall. Typically this is not necessary, however, and you do not need additional software to run the engine as the Launcher should install all prerequisites.
Try the above and let me know if it does not resolve your issue.
Thanks,
.
Try this workaround, sometimes it has been useful: UE 4.15 editor not starting - Getting Started & Setup - Epic Developer Community Forums
How to fix it i got the same issue in 4.15.1 , it is not working …
Did you try running Epic Games launcher as administrator?
I have the same problems with the NVIDIA VR Works & VXGI build. (both 4.15) The Editor don´t start. I have always to restart my PC. After this I can start the Unreal Editor. I have this problems since the Installation of SteamVR. I don´t know if this has something to do with it. But it´s possible.
