Hi Stunt ,
If your machine is shutting down completely (BSOD), can you follow the instructions on this page to get the Windows Event Logs. This will give the crash error code that happens in Windows. Once you have this information would you post this on the **AnswerHub **in the Bug Reports section and one of our Support Staff can help you troubleshoot this further.
If Windows is shutting down there is a reason and this log will greatly help identifying that. Sometimes this can be as simple as correcting a driver issue, or conflicting software, but without this information we cannot help you identify the issue and make using Unreal a better experience for you.

I think it is specific to 4.10.2, because i was working fine with 4.10.1 and now the editor does not open.

I using the Update 1 with the 4.10 and 4.10.1 what happen with the .2 this is an update or a regression.
Two 4.10 issues. Collision falters when a platform moves a player up. Most of the time the player ends up on top when the platform stops moving but sometimes falls through. Lighting will not build on two of three levels in my game. I do have lightmassimportance and character importance volumes in all levels. The lighting gives an Exit 2 error. Collision works fine in 4.8 in the same project.

Avast is causing the engine not to run on packaged games on 4.10. I know other projects are having the same issue. Closing the antivirus allows you to run, but hopefully thats not the perma-fix =)
Matinee movie recording still seem to be broken in 4.10.2. The opening Windows stays black for minute or two and then crashes. No file is made.

It was running fine until 4.10. In dev phase, Iâm ok to do AV setup to ease, but I canât tell my client to do this on their side.
Does Epic have any idea of the root cause?
This issue raised at the beginning of UE4 but was solved. Is it on Avast Side or on the way the things are built?
