After I waited a few hours and nothing happened (it said 83%) I restarted the launcher and resumed installation, but it’s still not doing anything I think.

its ok now, i only my computer (and apply the latest w10 updates… just in case) and now install work, and seems work ok.

This was almost certainly the solution. The necessary prerequisites for 4.10 requires the latest updates to Windows in order to install successfully.
I’m still having a problem with UE-21858, the aliasing looks still horrible…

Agreed. And many, many thanks to you as well, for the digging and poking around with this issue. Now, if we could finally just get full access to the Marketplace… though my Blender skills are getting some much needed love in the meantime.
Unfortunatly still if I customize the layout in anyway (such as closing the animation and timeline toolbars in the widget designer or change the layout of the blueprint editor and then save the layout and re-open the uasset im working on I get a insta-crash with these details

I was really hoping 4.10.1 had fixed that it makes it really hard to work when you have to have un-needed toolbars using up valuable screenspace.

I started to panic because it was stuck at 83% for about 4 minutes and it decided to move on! Did it ever start working for you?
Yes, it started working when I tried it today. Either Epic has fixed something, or it was fixed by restarting my PC.
Hi, Has anyone tried to see if the Houdini for unreal engine 4.10 plugin works? I cant get it to work with 4.10
For those who have issue when installing - error saying that you are not up to date in Windos update, remove VS C++ 2015 redistribuable and the launcher prerequisites will run fine and install them again with the engine.
This works for me on 7 64bits

I hope the error where having anything except the default layout causes widgets (and presumably more windows) to crash on opening. Didnt see anything that seemed like it in the patch notes but crossing my fingers.

do not totally remove animation windows, one with names only and one with graph editor, dock them somewhere, works for me.

Hey BananasGoMoo,
This is not included in the 4.10.1 hotfix. Please keep in mind that hotfixes are generally reserved for crash bugs and show stoppers.
I tested this in our latest internal build and it is working properly there. If all goes well, you should see this fixed in a future update.

There is still something wonky with grass. I can’t get past 10 grass types no matter what I do. Is there a limit on how many you can have? When I add the 10th grass type the first one disappears.
Would be swell if this could be increased, 10 is a bit limiting when making huge maps.
