When I open certain (most) dialogue boxes in the editor, the dialogue box does not load correctly. The application does not hang, because I can still fish around for buttons on the glitched dialogue box. I have included a sequence of screenshots in which I attempt to create a new Blueprint Class, and the Blueprint Class dialog appears in a glitched state. I have waited to see if it was a slow loading issue, and it is not. Restarting the application changes nothing. The bug occurs regardless of whether I have a clean project open.
Any help with this bug would be most appreciated. It has brought my workflow to a halt.
I use Windows 10 on a Microsoft Surface Book i7, 16GB RAM.
I believe this bug also occurs in version 4.12.5.
Hello Eritash,
Looking up the type of laptop you have, I see that it has both Intel Integrated Graphics and an Nvidia GPU in it, although I can’t find any particular information saying what kind of Nvidia GPU it is.
Do you have it set to switch your active GPU when launching something intensive, such as the editor? If so, could you try turning off this automatic switching and switching to the Nvidia GPU manually to see if this fixed the problem? We’ve have reports of this in the past and it was related to that kind of set up.
We haven’t heard from you in a while, Eritash. Have you tried what I suggested? If so, what were the results? In the meantime, I’ll be marking this issue as resolved for tracking purposes.
I have the same problem but it affects 4.12 but not 4.15
I have forced the nVidia GPU for all of my programs and the editor still is glitching out on dialogs
Hello Argylelabcoat,
If this isn’t occurring in 4.15, that means it was likely fixed somewhere between 4.13 and 4.15. Unfortunately, as we do not update our older versions, the fix won’t be available in these older versions and you’ll need to update to avoid this issue.
