Unreal Editor Scripting possibilities?

Quick Question … is there a possibility for passing scripts to the unrealEd? i don’t mean the c++ with compiling and stuff. Just to make automatisms for some simple tasks e.g. importing object X, placing it somewhere, making copies, assigning materials …
I know there is a bunch of commands you can tell the engine. But when it comes to loops and if statements, this may be not enough.
