It’s absurd that a company that develops one of the greatest game engines and some of the most played games ever can’t provide a clean and simple uninstall. I tried UEFN but my computer can’t handle it in a way I could actually use it. Then I tried to unistall it. And it just didn’t work. Every time I did, Fortnite forced me to make an update, bringing UEFN back. I just had to uninstall the game to get rid of UEFN. Now I’ll have to download the game all over again. And I hope at least this way I won’t be forced to keep UEFN. This is something critical that needs to be taken care of.

Please i also have the same issue. I cant find a way to remove Unreal Editor. Every update for fortnite i am forced to update unreal editor. Please help me find a way to stop this as i live in a country where internet is slow and i cant download a 3gb extra update everytime i update fortnite.

Updating: I uninstalled everything and the problem continues. When I reinstalled Fortnite, UEFN came with it like a virus. This is ridiculous!

please fix this epic games, I dont want to have this editor installed or showing up in my installed folder, all i did was see something free and took it, now i regret it completely and wish i never clicked the get it option
I asked epic games customer service and they told it’s now part of the game and U can’t uninstall it at all , if it’s a part so everyone should download it not only how clickbaited by adding it to the library , so the only way that U can do is to install the game using a new account that is not adding the editor to the library then log in with your account once it finished , and if it tried to download the editor just tap that 3 dots beside the editor then tap uninstall , now U can play the game without the editor .

Same. This is ridiculous because I have limited computer space (about 42 gb) and the install for the newest version of fortnite is 40-44 gb or something like that.
except UEFN tries to install with fortnite, and there is not enough space for that.
So UEFN is stopping me from playing or even installing fortnite because I cannot uninstall fortnite without installing UEFN.
I hate this and wish I never installed UEFN.
PLEASE FIX THIS EPIC.

Hello! I’ve just discover that you can indeed uninstall it! By going into your libary, and clicking the 3 dots and clicking uninstall you should be able to uninstall it!
(Click the 3 dots on uefn)
The following image also shows that i have fortnite and zero build installed, but uefn is unintalled.

Problem just got fixed today and I could uninstall unreal editor of fortnite thanks epic for listening
i believe this my issue too related since i used the UEFN … also i can’t go into my profile in islands creator which this error caused by this editor since in install it into my PC… i will go on and try to uninstall the game and reinstall it again without UEFN
Pretty sure you can change the install settings on the game so that it doesn’t also download uefn. You can already disable the downloading of high-res textures and even disable the downloading of save the world mode, so it’s battle royale only.
