Unreal Editor Crash on project load

Hi,

I’m fairly new to unreal and i tried packaging my project for android and i had to install the android sdk. after installing the sdk i was prompted to close and reopen epic games launcher and unreal editor, tried to open my project again and it crashed. did this multiple times and i uninstalled everything and deleted my projects, redownloaded ue4 and its still giving me this crash report.

Please help?

Hi Di3BoK,

Are you getting this same crash on a blank project? We had a number of crash fixes for the recent 4.8.1 hotfix, can you update to the latest and see if it’s fixed your issue?

If you update and you are still seeing this issue, here is something to try. In the Engine folder, delete the DDC (Derived Data Cache). In your project, delete the Intermediate, the Saved, and the Binary folders. You can even try deleting these without updating first and see if that fixes your project’s crash.

When you next try to package it will take considerably longer as the shaders will need to newly compile, but this should get rid of any old or corrupted files that haven’t gotten deleted.
