Unreal editor black bar glitch

so this is quite odd I have been using unreal all year on my desktop at home and have not tired to use it on my laptop till now and I have come across a odd glitch where the entire editors ui and area that is visible cannot be directly clicked on due to this balck bar at the side not one of my other programs have ever had this before and my laptop is fairly capable. I have to click to the right of everything to actualy click on it. any answers as to why this is. I have even tried to reinstall the editor version that I am using for my game but i just dose not work.

Hi ,

Please post a copy of your dxdiag so we can test this on a comparable machine. Also, if you have enough space, I recommend downloading and installing a newer version of the engine (in addition to this current version.)

Since we have not heard back from you in a few days, we are marking this post “resolved” for tracking purposes. However, if you are still experiencing an issue with a black bar appearing to the right of the screen please respond with a copy of your dxdiag and let us know if you were able to install and/or use a later version of the engine, if you have enough space to install one.

Sorry I don’t know what you mean by dxdiag and I had not received an email for your last reply so I am sorry for not responding I have not tried the new version since I was worried that if I tried the new version of the engine it may break my game.

Go to the Start menu in Windows and type dxdiag; Double click on the icon that appears. Click the button that says “Save All Information,” save this to your desktop and paste here.

…Does this happen in a new blueprint template game? Also, while we do not recommend upgrading your project to a newer version if you do not need to, you can open a blank project with a newer version just to test if this issue is specific to an engine version or a conflict with your system.
