Unreal C++/BP Developers Needed for Shooter-Style Game

Hello!
I am a developer for Point Blank Interactive and I’m seeking another two developers for a 2-3 month long project.

[The Project]
We are creating an Aim Practice game, similar to “Aim Hero” or “FPS Aim Trainer” on the Steam marketplace.

[Features]

  • Swap between Fortnite, PUBG, Rainbow Six: Siege, Realm Royale, and Escape From Tarkov gun and movement mechanics.

  • Practice alone or compete against others in multiple training drills such as:

  • Reflex Drills - Targets randomly appear in front of the player, scoring is based on how fast (and accurate) the player can shoot the targets.

  • Tracking Drills - Targets will move in a predictable pattern, or optionally they will move unpredictably.

  • Bullet Drop Tracking - Far targets will move in a predictable pattern, the player will only have a rifle.

  • Throwable Drills - Bounce or ricochet grenades to hit targets behind cover.

  • CQC Combat Drills - Targets will move towards the player at variable speeds, ends when a target reaches the player.

  • Peeking Drills - Players will have to peek corners to deal damage to hostile targets.

  • Combo Drills / DPS Drills - Players will have to use their available weapons in combination to deal the most DPS possible.

  • Compete with friends in an entertaining way with:

  • Aim Royale - A game mode that takes the entire party through a series of drills and games, highest points wins the game.

  • Arms Race - A game mode where each player is placed on a cart in a track layered with different drills. The faster the player goes through the drills, the faster the cart moves. First one to the end wins.

  • Deathmatches - Simple 1v1 deathmatch game mode.

[Technical Details]

  • This game will utilize P2P hosting to the fullest extent.
  • Requires simple matchmaking for 1v1’s.
  • Requires full database integration for a leaderboard and stats system.
  • Game models, resolutions, FOVs, sensitivities, etc. all need to be based on the game the player wishes to practice, and all settings need to be highly customizable.

[Games to Emulate] (Wouldn’t be emulating the full game, just the combat and movement mechanics)

  • Fortnite (TPS, bloom, hitscan, sniper bullet drop)
  • PUBG (TPS + FPS, Recoil, Q+E peeking, camera shake on damage, bullet drop)
  • Rainbow Six: Siege (FPS, Recoil)
  • Realm Royale (TPS, bloom, hitscan)
  • Escape From Tarkov (FPS, Recoil, Bullet Drop)

[What We’re Looking For]

  • At least 4 years of experience with developing software or games
  • 2+ Years of experience with UE4
  • 2+ Years of experience with C++
  • Experience with database solutions
  • Experience with Multiplayer + Replication
  • Experience with backend networking

[What’s Already Done]

  • A basic TPS + FPS hybrid gun system has been implemented, with bloom, recoil, full-auto, hitscan, and physical bullet support)

[What Needs To Be Done]

  • The various training exercises and game modes
  • A party system integrated with Steam friends
  • A matchmaking system integrated with Steam
  • A database backend with stat collection

[Timeframe]
This project needs to be done ASAP. Aiming for release in 2-3 months.

[Compensation]
I’m willing to negotiate, but I think $3000-$5000 is a fair estimate considering the amount of work that’s already done (and considering the work will be shared between multiple developers).

All work will be done under a 1099 contract with an NDA clause.
