Unreal 5.7 android has no ray cast shadow

With the new deferred rendering support added on Mobile, android ray cast shadow for forward rendering is completely bug and gone missing for android package.

■■■■ it, Epic You keep adding new mobile feature that no body want and breaking the thing they need to get things running smoothly on Mobile. I’m using 5.74 and it’s still not fixed. (apple metal shader is not broken tho.)

Sadly, as of end of this month, everyone will be force to upgrade to 5.7 in accordance to Apple Store enforcing iOS 26. So I guess everyone is equally screwed.

Well, I spent the whole night digging comparing to 5.6 source code and finally fixed it. Too complicated to post here tho (plus I don’t want to be responsible for crashing other ppl project), so i guess it’s up to epic to fix this in later patch. (Do they even care to fix it? I mean… this bug was there in 5.70-5.74…)

Thx for wasting my life’s precious time with every patch update. Absolute zero improvements after migrating from 5.60 to 5.74.
