Unreal 5.6 Won't Open Packaged Game with MetaHuman Live Link Enabled

As the title says the packaged game will not open even though it packaged successfully. I’ve narrowed it down to the MetaHuman Live Link Plugin, which gives Live Link access to Face Tracking via Webcam and/or Audio to Face animation from Microphone. These features are amazing and I would love to use them in a game, but it seems to stop the packaged game from working. Any Epic Devs know if these features will eventually work at Runtime and in a Packaged Game? I’m exciting because in Editor I was able to get both webcam and audio working on the ARKit 52 shapes on custom characters during Runtime. It would be awesome if we can have this in our games!

I’m having the same issue! From what I’ve seen unreal 5.6 either does not work with live link or it doesn’t even open in the first place.

So I got it to work, but only on Windows. I had this problem in 5.6 Preview, but in the Official Release it works. Seems like Metahuman Live Link only works on Windows machines. I hope they keep iterating on Metahuman Live Link, making it faster and lighter, till it can run smoothly on every Platform including Mobile.

Epic Devs, if you’re reading this. Could you make a native Audio2Body? For full body talking characters. Please :grin:
