Hi. I have made a river through shallow water simulation. some times it looks good in the scene but some times goes very up from the ground or some times goes very down from the ground. While taking the render it is giving me lots of pain. Too much art effects are coming. I could not get a single render perfectly. I am very sad by this result. I have checked in all the necessary plugins and put collisions too in the ground objects. Please help me
Please give me some way to fix it.
Hi, the problem is the size of your map. Try the same thing on a smaller map with exactly the same settings, and it’ll work. If the map is too big, nothing will work as expected. I struggled with this for three days without success. Be careful, though, this isn’t reversible; remember to duplicate your maps before trying.
The problem is the size. You can check it this way: create a blank project, make a map 6 square kilometers, for example, and add an ocean water body. Test it out; you’ll see if you’ll have collisions with your character. If you enlarge the splines too much, even if they stay in the water zone and in the landscape, you’ll lose collisions, and then floatation with the waves. Same thing for the river. During my tests, I sometimes even had collisions only on part of the river.
As for shallow water, it always ends up bugging, as you showed, regardless of the map size.
