[UNPAID / EVENTUALLY PAID] Project Yellowstone is looking for developers for realistic Yellowstone-based animal survival game

Project Yellowstone(working title, official name might change down the line) is an early-stages animal survival game based in Yellowstone National Park.

The game is planned to be multiplayer and PvPvE, functioning similarly to games such as The Isle, Path of Titans, Beasts of Bermuda, etc, with both official and player-hosted servers.

Currently, we lack the funding to pay developers, however the plan is to eventually, once we have enough content ready, create a Patreon as well as, further down the line, a Kickstarter- after which, developer roles will become paid.

We are currently primarily seeking out 3D artists, level designers, GUI Artists, Sound Designers, and 3D animators- and while we do already have a programmer on board, additional programmers are also welcome to apply, as well as any other position not currently listed.

As this game will center entirely around animals, 3D artists and animators should have experience with quadrupedal animal models.

3D artists should be able to create realistic, yet optimized creature models. Bonus if you’re experienced with creating fur cards/other methods of “fur grooming” that are optimized for realtime gameplay.

If interested in a position, either email me at matt.jeevas420@gmail.com or add me on Discord, @gamergodjeevas.

Additional game information under the cut.

As the name suggests, Project Yellowstone is based in Yellowstone National Park, and as such the playable species will be animals commonly found in the park, such as wolves, elk, cougars, pronghorn, deer, bison, etc.

Just as in other survival games of its type, the game is planned to feature a growth system from young to adult, as well as reproduction and raising offspring.

What sets us apart from other animal survival games, though, isn’t just the setting and the playable species- we want to go all out in making the game interesting and immersive- including changing seasons, marking territory, natural disasters, a dynamic weight system, a dynamic stat system, and even options for server owners to adjust the functionality of groups- for example, a setting that will disable grouping for typically solo carnivores such as cougars and bears(except with their own cubs.)

We would also like player-to-player interaction to be interesting and dynamic, too, with plenty of emotes alongside the standard 1-2-3-4 vocal calls.

If working on something like this interests you, contact me! While it may not be paid right off the bat, the goal is for it to be eventually paid once we have funding!
