I am using a copy of the default unlit sprite material (translucent MI) for fake sprite shadows. Sprite color black with lowered alpha. But, when the shadows overlap they darken each other. Think of two circles at 30% opacity, when they overlap that opacity increases to like 60% where they overlap. Is there a way in the material to cancel out this change in opacity on the overlap so it all appears as one continuous 30% shadow?
Creating custom materials is probably my weakest area in unreal.
