I got this today in 4.13, but I was able to fix the cook error by just renaming the variable instead of removing and re-adding it to the classes that reference it (much easier than having to fix up every reference afterward).
I ran into this issue and fixed it as suggested by renaming a bunch of variables. Project was updated from 4.12. Shouldn’t there be some sort of “blueprint clean” functionality to address these inconsistencies that can appear. Nothing about the logic in my game has changed.
Have you tried migrating your project over to a new, clean project in either 4.13.2 or 4.14.0? If so, what was your result? Did you try recreating your blueprints as well?

This article really helped me; six months in to a project, i was close to smashing my pc/monitor/head to bits.
This pointed me to renaming my structures one-by-one until it suddenly started to package. What didn’t help was the error talked about an unknown struct I didn’t even have! There seems to be a problem with Unreal when you refactor which causes this…
Anyway, thanks to this post I am happy again (with just a sore head!)
I had this issue too. Fixed with the renaming trick mentionned above.
I noticed something else in 4.17 : when editing the structs, i click save button, all variables types are changed to base types struct/int/string, etc. A vector and a transform were changed to struct. Then i close this window, launch the game, and then open the struct again, it goes back to normal. Opening the struct without launching the game still displays the wrong types on variables.
i get this error occasionally… i just experienced it these days back… here was my fix: I went into the struct, opened it, saved it, closed it… went into the file that was using that struct (in my case just a save file, even though it is referenced by many other bp’s just going into the original save file that struct is saved in fixes this bug)… so open that save file, click on the struct variable, compile the save file, close it… boom project now builds successfully… its not the first time it happened to me nor will it probably be the last… it is weird but these fixes work…
Same Error in 4.18.1 … A Fix in UE4 would be nice. Something to tidy up structs. I ran often in problems when structs are edited in BPs on compiling and on problems like this thread.
Yes, it works. But a Fix in UE4 would be nice that correct Struct handling. I have to rename my struct frequently. And sometimes also have to delete “Intermediate” and fix other things which are messes up after struct changes.
