Even though Ive purchased a few hundred dollars worth of Unity Assets…
Ive decided that I cant recommend the use of unity anymore.
Unity is increasing their pricing…Therefore I will be moving to another platform.
While this asset is ok and 100% functional…
I cant endorse anything by unity due to their Corporate Greed Mentality.
I am going through all my purchased unity assets and re reviewing them. why?
I can review and recommend the game engine due to their corporate greed mentality.
So if your reading this as a new user to Unity…Just go to another Game Engine. Unity will eventually raise their prices again and again and again. “Corporate Greed.”
@BIGTIMEMASTER is right this is a unreal form try putting unreal engine after switching cause we maybe all can feel your pain . @llanyort Its legal to use certain assets from unity to other engines like unreal . Read your licenses and see what you can use to get in your grove . I have 10 years of asset to go through you are not alone stay strong and may your game creator imagination stay with you .
I’ve learned that it is generally better to buy assets directly at the site of the company/individual that is making them. That way I am not tied to certain platform. Take Synty asstets for example. Buy buying them on their site I have access to Unity and Unreal source files, but buying them from Unity Asset Store I will have only access to Unity files, and the price is the same.
yes, I know. I was posting into here just in case ANY new people are moving from unity and into unreal. Hence, this is why I posted in the Unreal Forums. LOLZ
