Unit size

Hi there,

Been looking for a solution for some time… I don’t know if this is the right place to ask but anyways.
I’m trying to built a kind of showroom/render studio for some project. But i want to make it a bit accurate. So when i import a model from 3ds Max which is 500x1500mm i have no idea how big it is in ue. I tried to put a box next to it but the unit size just says 1x1x1. Going into the project settings i changed it to mm but nothing in the editor shows me any size in mm. I’m Running UE5.3.2

Anyone knows what i’m doing wrong?

1 Unreal Unit is 1cm by default. A character is 180 uus or thereabout. I’d say, import your model, switch to top-down view. Hold middle mouse button and drag → you can measure distance easily like this:

This line I dragged with the mouse is nearly 20 meters long. Scale the imported model up / down until it matches up. You can then optionally use the modelling mode to bake it in:

From my experience, it’s not worth the fuss fighting the existing system. Your mileage may vary, ofc.
