Unique Inventory System Questions

I’m not sure if this is the best category to file this under but here goes…

I’m trying to figure out how to create an inventory system that is kind of a unique scenario I think. I’m having trouble finding some good resources for what i’m trying to do.

I’d like to have an inventory with a bunch of items preloaded - think of a library of items or a catalogue. The user can drag and place/move/rotate these items and populate a scene with them. And I’d like to have a running tally that they can look at to see how many of each item they used, cost per item and then a total cost of all assets. Think of it like a way for them to build a scene and then generate a cost estimate. Like you might use for contractor or a interior design type of thing.

I’m extremely new to UE. So hoping to find some easy to follow info or a nudge in the right direction to tackle each objective one at a time.
