Underwater Scene

Recently created this underwater scene inspired by a recent “Shark” movie I watched. After creating it I decided to re-create the scene live so others could follow along and learn from my workflow. This was a fun one utilizing Path tracing, Niagara Fluids, and IA Scattering Tool.

I used a variety of incredible assets. Coral and grounds environment from Megascans and the primary character from Big.Medium.Small

Rendered using Path tracing at about 5000 samples for a clean volumetric render.

Created Niagara Fluid system for the footsteps and cached out for performance.

Hey there @Metatrox !

I adore the way that you capture the underwater eeriness. It’s both beautiful and in a way haunting. Do you enjoy creating these types of scenes or do you prefer other scene structures?

Hey Thanks, This was my first time doing an underwater scene, but I love creating cinematic style scenes in Unreal. Kinda my thang, LOL

Hi there @Metatrox,

Hope you’re well and having a great week so far.

Just wanted to hop into this thread to say thank you for sharing your process. The walkthrough of the creation of an environment is always a fascinating experience as a viewer. The lighting was especially great to watch.

Thanks for sharing
