No matter the file how big or small, I am unable to see any objects after importing them using direct link. I have a connection, I can see the layers on Twin motion, I can even zoom to selection, yet there is nothing where the selection is. Using Rhino 7 with Twin Motion 2022.2.2
Hello ,
Would you be able to submit a bug report here and share a copy of your Rhino and Twinmotion files for our support team to investigate? I'm not sure what might be causing this issue, so this would require further investigation.
Best,
Raghib
Hey!
Did you find a solution to this issue? I am having the same problem. I have tried many files, simple and complex, but nothing shows up. Layers are all there but when I select, there isn't anything there. When i tried on a friend's co,puter with the same version of TwinMotion and Rhino installed everything worked fine. I tried reinstalling Rhino, DirectLink, TwinMotion and even tried earlier versions of TwinMotion. I have a project due in a few days and this is the only thing holding me back.
HI ,
Could you submit a bug report here with a copy of your files for our support team to investigate? I don't believe we ever received any bug reports for this particular issue, so we don't have any additional information.
As for some information on this, it sounds like this isn't happening universally, since it worked fine on your friend's computer, so something is going wrong on your computer with the plugin. You can try following the steps in the Datasmith Exporter Plugin Installer Common Errors article to do a complete removal and reinstall of the plugin to see if the issue persists. If it still happens, you can try switching to an older version of the Datasmith plugin, like the 4.27.2 version available at the Twinmotion Datasmith Exporter plugin for Rhino page in the Archived Versions section.
Best,
Raghib
