I am following unreal engine 4 3rd person action game yotube tutorial. Input setup lesson 5.
When i try to type "MoveForward"on input setup textboxes. text is grayed out and disabled. Same goes for values.
I can slide values, but not type on the textboxes
. I tried this in unreal engine 4.12 and 4.14. Have been searching for hours online and can’t find solution.Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also it seems I can Select all, paste on textboxes (copy from notepad and paste to UE4 textboxes. But I can’t manually backspace,edit, delete characters, on textboxes. I also tried 2 different keyboards and mice to see if it was a peripheral related issue
Same problem occurs on any nodes nodes and just about anywhere in blueprints or graphs where I need to type any text or values. I am not able to type anywhere or edit rename anything. only “paste” and “select all” when right clicking on textboxes. When you can type, characters in textbox are highlighted light blue. I only get light gray anywhere you can typealt text
I think I may have isolated problem. Plugging Xbox 360 controller (wired usb) Causes all textboxes or renaming in UE4 to stop responding. Has anyone encountered this issue before?
