"Unable to play, validation failed" When launching session. First map creation

Hi everyone!

I’m new to map creating (really enjoying it actually) and i’m trying to launch a session to see how it looks in game.
Whenever i launch, I get an error saying “Unable to play, validation failed” and idk how to fix it

In the output log it says: LogValkyrieSummary: Project hauntedcastle failed to update
LogValkyrieActivityTracker: Warning: Upload → Fail Activity: hauntedcastle - Project validation failed
LogValkyrie: Unable to play: Validation failed
LogValkyrieActivityTracker: Warning: Upload → Fail Activity: UploadProjects - All uploads failed with errors, in white and yellow.

Right above that it says in scary red multiple times:

  • LogValkyrieValidation: Error: Package C:/Users/Gebruiker/Documents/Fortnite Projects/hauntedcastle/Plugins/hauntedcastle/Content/MedievalDungeon/Particles/PS_CandleFlame.uasset contains a public instance of asset class ParticleSystem which does not support being public

  • UEFNValidation: Error: Package C:/Users/Gebruiker/Documents/Fortnite Projects/hauntedcastle/Plugins/hauntedcastle/Content/AncientTreasures/VFX/P_Fire_01a.uasset contains a public instance of asset class ParticleSystem which does not support being public

Now both the ‘ancient treasures’ and ‘medieval dungeon’ things are asset packs or vaults or whatever i downloaded from the free library on the epic launcher which i guess are public.

So yeah i don’t really know why i get this error message, can some of you experts perhaps help a new guy out?

Thanksssssssssssss!

Hello Gungguiri, Welcome to the Forums.

Try opening up that particle system. In the past I’ve been able to fix imported particle systems with one ‘Fix this Particle System for UEFN’ button. Also be on the lookout for any unsupported modules in the system.

Let us know how it goes.
