This would point towards a problem with threading on the CPU. Perhaps try turning off hyper-threading and see if the error persists.

Seems intel microcode bios settings can sometimes cause unreal to crash. You may not be getting the oodle error or compile errors but it still may have the same source.
Newer Intel processors seem to not play nice with unreal (something about floating point operations at higher frequencies). Perhaps the microcode fix can help in your case too
