Unable to make particles play for their entire lifetime when deactivating emitter

Hello! So I have been learning Niagara for about a week and overall I haven’t run into many issues but one.

As exxplained in the title, I am currently unable to figure out what am I doing wrong to make my particles remain “active” for the entire duration of their lifetime AFTER their emitter has been deactivated.

I’ve seen in the Emitter State module that it is possible to set an Inactive Response (currently set to Complete) which is exactly what I want to achieve, but for some reason it is having no effect on the behaviour of the particles.

Any Idea what am I doing wrong?

Replying so I can also find the answer if it ever arrives

Hello! Just to comment on this, the “solution” that I ended with was to create a new project from scratch with the same version as the one I am using, make the Niagara system there, export its related assets, and import them into the old project.

I don’t know if it was a bug, or an error from my part, but this has been the only solution I’ve found…
