Unable to launch Unreal Engine 4.14

After installing everything seemed fine but whenever I try to launch UE4 I click on the Launch button, it says Please Wait… for a few seconds and then goes back to saying Launch without anything happening. I tried opening UE4Editor.exe but whenever I do I get the following message: “The program can’t start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”
What can I do to fix this problem?

How up to date is your windows / your CRT?
Try to get updates for your windows system, or get the corect CRT update here

If you’re not sure which CRT version you got, you can just get the whole package from microsoft here, this should fix all problems with your C libraries
