Hi
Would really appreciate some help if someone can as i am out of ideas. I am unable to install Twin Motion or Unreal Engine from the Epic Launcher on my Windows 7 64bit machine (64GB ram / Nvidia GTX970).
It starts installing and at around the 80pc mark shoots up to 100pc - Then it ‘verifies/cleans up’ before deleting the installation and starting again from 0pc.
I had UE4 running fine on my machine last year but had to uninstall it and Launcher due to the .dll error (mentioned below)
Things i have tried -
- I don’t have any antiVirus software running
- Have used Revo Uninstaller to do a clean reinstall / Deleted registry
entries etc - i still get missing’’ api-ms-win-downlevel-kernel32-l2-1-0.dll ’ error
on a new install although fix it by copying over .dll file from
Windows/System files. - Have tried installing Epic Launcher on both my C drive and another
one but both loop the install (both drives are NTFS) - Have allowed Epic Launcher through the Firewall
- Have tried installing as Admin
- Have more than enough storage for the installs.
I downloaded the Delores - Thimbleweed game as a test because it’s
only 50mb and it installed fine (except wouldn’t work on Win7)
Really not sure what else i can try. Any help would be much appreciated.
Desperate to get working with Twin Motion and Meta Human.
Many Thanks
Will
