Unable to install UE 5.0.0

I currently have a project under version control which is using unreal engine 5.0.0. My friend is trying to download UE 5.0.0, so they can work on the same project. When they go to library, hit the + next to engine versions, and select the version from the drop down menu, the only UE 5 version available 5.0.1.

How can my friend specifically download 5.0.0 so I don’t have to update the entire project to a new engine version? Even when I try to install a new version and select the drop down menu for a specific version, I don’t even get any UE 5 options. Everything is UE 4.x.x. I only have 5.0.0 installed. It does have an update option, but it doesn’t specify what version it updates to. I would assume 5.0.1, but I don’t understand why 5.0.0 is unavailable to download.

I think 5.00 is no longer available because it was pretty unstable. The launcher always lets you install the stable engine versions.

I think you can probably install 5.00 if you really want, but you’d need to build it ( compile it ).
