Is this happening for all the application’s versions (2.0, 1.5.1, 1.4.2)?
Here are some general advices, how to solve issues with the Launcher.
This error could be also connected to the corrupted installation file or data. Can you delete webcache folder from C:\Users<YourUser>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\webcache and restart the Launcher?
You can also try to run the Launcher as administrator. There could be also a conflict with your antivirus or firewall. Can you temporary disable those or whitelist Epic Games and RealityScan? One of the possible solutions is also different network or ensure ports required by Epic Games Launcher (e.g., 80, 443) are open.
Not enough disk space or bad sectors can interrupt installation. Check free space and run chkdsk.
Is your Epic Games Launcher updated? Also, required frameworks may be missing or outdated. Install latest: .NET Framework and Visual C++ Redistributables (both x86 and x64).
