I first downloaded UE4 and saved it to my c drive. I then went to install the engine and was informed that I did not have sufficient disk space so I re-assigned my folders such as my docs, etc. to free up c drive space. I now have 20 gb free on c but now when I log in to my account, it shows that version 4… is not installed. How do I go about installing software at this point. I even un-installed the .exe file and re-installed but still to no avail?

It sounds like you are going to need to go through your computer and remove all references to the Unreal Engine that was previously on your computer. After this you will want to re-install the engine. To re-install the engine all you will need to do is go into your launcher under library and click “Add Engine”.
