Unable to generate SSH

Hi all. I’ve posted this on the UE4 answers site also, but I am never sure where is the best place to post. Just to preface this, I know very little about programming, compiling, etc. - I’m just an arch viz guy who is trying to put together a simple AR proof of concept for my company, but rapidly feeling out of my depth :slight_smile:

Here is my (current) problem. I’m trying to build remotely from a PC, but when I attempt to generate a SSH key through the project settings, I’m unable to type in the cmd window. I’m prompted for a password to my Mac, but I cannot enter any characters (the only thing that works is hitting enter). It’s really frustrating that it seems to be this one thing holding me up - I just cannot enter any characters into that password field. If anyone has encountered a similar problem, or knows of a workaround, I would be ***really ***grateful.

you will not see the characters as you type but they should register!

That’s what I read elsewhere - but it just continues to ask for my password again after I hit enter.

Quickly bumping this to see if anybody else had this trouble? Could it be that the PC cannot see the Mac on the network for some reason, and therefore is unable to submit a password?
