I am evaluating this software for a new program we’ll be teaching in the fall in virtual production. I’ve run into an error that I know our IT department will have a problem with. Apparently Capturing Reality uses Internet Explorer internally for some functions. When I try to export a model, I get "Script Error. An error has occurred in the script on this page. Line: 47, Char: 1, Error: Unable to get property ‘remaningSpace’ of undefined or null reference, Code: 0, URL: https://www.capturingreality.com/js/external-login.js?v=1".
It then asks me to sign in. When I click on “Epic Games” for the sign-in, it loads Internet Explorer. Even after signing in, the error persists.
My understanding is, Microsoft has extended the EOL for IE until June, 2022, but for my university, it’s no longer acceptable to use.
I want to include your software in my curriculum for the fall, but I absolutely can’t if it goes against what the IT department has determined to be acceptable.
