Unable to download Fab Plugins

Summary

None of the rdTools plugins are downloading from Fab with various errors including IS-0009, IIE-1003 and MD-0011-0.

Steps to Reproduce

Try downloading one of the rdTools plugins such as rdLODtools from the Epic Launcher.

All steps to clear cache and other lingering files has been attempted.

Customers are also saying they cannot update to the latest versions.

Expected Result

The plugins to download.

Observed Result

“Install Failed
Could not download installtion information. Please try again later.
Error Code: MD-0011-0”

Bump - Can I please get a response from Fab staff - this is affecting my customers.

Me and users of my plugin are also getting the same issue.

Same error, I keep getting IS-0009 for a specific plugin on all my engine versions. I tried re-installing the launcher, clearing %LocalAppData% for the epic game launcher, even re-installed a UE engine version, checked the Manifests files (they seems all good no entry for the plugin), but still this error pops up and I am unable to install that plugin…
Anyone has a fix for it ?

Yep - no response from Fab at all - a big update to the Launcher (even though from things that were said they were phasing it out) - but not even the slightest attempt at fixing it to make it actually usable - no way to contact support (loops of AI).

I have to say - I gave Fab a chance - but they’re not giving us a chance.

@Tim_Sweeney you dis Apple store a lot - but at least it works, you fight to have the right to sell on it without large commissions - at least you can sell on it - at least you get responses from the sales team, you have a support system that works, and everything isn’t buried under piles of stolen assets and AI generated slop.

Fab does not answer our support, do not fix the launcher - has very questionable searching, doesn’t allow us customize our initial viewing (always forced to see their choice of assets), doesn’t show very important things like the number of ratings on each star (imperative to know what the reality of the scoring is).

How many years has it been now?

Please - Fab team - fix these things as quickly as you can, talk to us - make us feel that you actually care, rather than give us the feeling that you quietly hate us all and don’t want to offer any support.

yeah that doesn’t exactly help change the rising sentiment around here.

Same problem. I’ve tried every tutorial on the internet: deleting the webcache, reinstalling, deleting folders, manifest file, item file, etc., etc., etc. None of them worked.

For now there’s AMS (Asset Management Studio) - a 3rd party product that does work (I’m not affiliated). Shows the issues are with the Launcher itself.

Thank you, with AWS I was able to download and install the plugin.

It’s a shame we need to rely on third party tools to be able to use a paid product.

FAB support answered me and said they are looking into this.

The same problem! I have 9 plugins, and half of them can’t be downloaded properly.
[Install FailedCould not load installation information. Please check if the installation has been removed orexisted on an external drive.
If the external drive containing the installation is disconnected - please plug it back in thecomputer and restart the launcher.
Uninstalling the product and installing it again could also resolve the issue.]

The status of EMP-18467 changed to ‘Needs Triage’. We’ve confirmed the issue and it’s waiting to be assigned to someone to fix it.

I have been waiting months for someone to be assigned to this issue.

A member of staff was quite rude to me when I tried to escalate this issue via a support ticket.

I have not heard anything since and just gave up.

I am literally being told by customers that an old version of my plugin is being shipped for those who can actually download and I have no way to validate what they are saying because I can not download my own plugin via any method.

Yeah it’s been going on for quite a while.

Asset Manager Studio (AMS) can help - I’ve also added hidden download channels to my Discord with the latest versions.

Hopefully it will be assigned to someone soon and be fixed.

Still experiencing this issue couple months after first encountering it. For me it’s just IS-0009, not the other two. Is there any way to get more info on this EMP-18467 ticket? Where can I subscribe to updates?
