I downloaded the editor (4.4.1) from github and successfully built it.
I created a project and I am just trying to create an iOS built that uses the Metal API.
I have Xcode 6 installed and in the Applications folder that version of Xcode is named “Xcode”. The source code editor option in the editor preferences has only one option and that’s “Visual Studio”… I am on a mac, I do not have Visual studio installed. Anyway, I’m just trying to build with Metal enabled. and I get this erro:
When I use the github editor to create an iOS build with opengl it works.
Please tell me what am I doing wrong.
Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur. Due to timetable of when this issue was first posted, we are marking this post as resolved for tracking purposes.
