Unable to bake animation to control rig

I’ve seen this in a few posts but haven’t found an answer yet, but I am attempting to bake an animation to my control rig I created in a level sequence. However, when I hover over the option to bake, my control rig doesn’t appear? I’m able to add a control rig to the skeleton, but I cannot bake the animation to that control rig as the option for the rig is not available? I’ve noticed some turn “filter by asset skeleton” off and it works, but this did not work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to figure it out, this may or may not be the case for others but apparently when you create a control rig, you need to create a ‘backwards solve’ node and structure in order to bake animations to your control rig. This is working for me so far and hope this helps someone else.

Hello, any chance to give some more details about how you did it? Thanks.

Sorry to only just get to you, but this thread talks on it a bit more

But put basically, if you’re making a control rig, you would’ve done a forwards solve node structure setting bones transform to your controls. But, to bake it to an animation, you’ll need a backwards solve which is doing the opposite, setting controls transforms to bones.

This documentation should explain it fairly well and hope this helps
