If you create a umg widget, then you move the view to a direction then you zoom, your view will be centered back instead of keeping the current view position.
When zooming, you want to zoom where you are and we don’t expect to drag our view back to what we wanted to zoom on.
I was unable to reproduce the issue that you have described. When you refer to zooming in and zooming out of a widget, are you referring to the designer tab or the event graph? I tested the event graph and it zooms in and out in relation to the position of the mouse. Could you tell me what version of the engine it is that you are using?
When I zoom in and out of the Designer tab the graph zooms in on the position of my mouse as long as it is with in the canvas panel. Can you reproduce this in a clean project? If you can, can you provide me with a detailed list of the steps you used to do so?
We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will offer further assistance.
This is still a problem in 2020. Why are we constrained to zooming within the window and why does the view reset to center if you have your mouse cursor outside of the window while zooming. I cannot zoom into a corner for smaller UI controls without dealing with this.
I am baffled as to what the UMG designer chooses to zoom in on when I zoom. It doesn’t seem to be the center; it doesn’t seem to be where my mouse is pointing. It seems to honestly be completely random.
