UMG Text Colour Saturation different in 4.14

In 4.12, we had some UMG animations that changed the colour of a Text Block, from one colour to another:

  • Turquoise: 0.15, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0 (RGBA)
  • Orange: 1.0, 0.5, 0.05, 1.0 (RGBA)

However when we upgraded this project to 4.14, even though the values of the animation remained the same, the orange colour was significantly brighter / less saturated. Is it possible that animations are not working in sRGB when changing colour?

This is easy to repro. Simply create a widget in 4.12 with an animation like ours, then port to 4.14 and notice the change in colour when the animation is played.

I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end with the information provided. I compared the two colors and they were exactly the same.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a more detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of the issue and any widgets/blueprints that may be involved with this issue
