I have been looking at the many different methods of adding gamepad support to navigate UI menus in a game. There is one thing that I can’t quite figure out a work around or best thing to do when it comes to the basic styling (ex: hovered, no hovered). When I set a menu widget to show as soon as I run the game in either the editor windor or standalone, the styling works fine when I use the gamepad to change between the menu options. But when I set up the menu widget not not be made and shown as soon as the game is started, but through a button action, like a pause menu, the styling doesn’t show or is broken. The functionality works but the styling doesn’t.
At first I thought it was how I made the gamepad interaction system and something got screwed. So I tried a different method but the same thing would happen. Is there a workaround or something I’m missing?
