UMG Material Bug

Hello,

As I told Epic MegaJam Submission Thread! - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums too, when you put a material in the umg for live preview, if you do not run on epic settings it is not visible. Not on low, not medium, not even High settings…

Tested this on multiple pc’s.

What I did:
Put an object out of skysphere and a capture2dscene camera in front of it, then made a render target which I applied on a new material and then I’ve putten this material to UMG.

Thanks

Hello ,

I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick Questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

Hello ,

I could not reproduce this issue on our end with the information that was provided. Could you make sure that the materials that you are using are set up to be used in UMG? This can be done but changing the Material Domain to User Interface. I have provided an example below.

Hello ,

As a note the project that was provided was a packaged product. Would it be possible to provide a copy of the Uproject so that I can take a closer look at how things are setup?
