UMG Button Text color different between Designer and game 4-26

Hopefully this question is low hanging fruit for someone.

In the designer, I have red text.

But when I start the game, I see black text

I’m a bit lost. Why would it appear differently between the two?

This would behave as expected under regular circumstances. So what’s special here?


One easy way to achieve the above is to (accidently) adjust colour during Event Construct:

It’s a long shot but who knows - I’d double check that first.

That was exactly it. There’s some complex function buried in the code that I didn’t notice. But as you suggested, it was hooked up to the construct event. Thank you!
