UI-Type audio sounds completely wrong after import into Unreal 5.3

I made a UI sound that starts off with high frequencies and diverges into lower frequencies. The initial kick is what gives it its characteristics, however the moment I import the sound in unreal it sounds completely wrong. I’ve tried all the compression settings (Bink / Compression quality) to no avail.

I’m able to repro with almost every UI sounds that I’m creating, they always sound correct when played through VLC. Other imported audio such as music seems to be fine.
