[UI Suggestion] Material Instance Checkboxes

Hey there -

Would it make sense to get rid of the need to toggle material instance parameters ON/OFF using a checkbox?

It adds an extra step when changing textures or parameters in material instances. When you’re trying to change multiple parameters in one material or multiple parameters in multiple separate instances the mouse clicks add up.

Additionally, you can’t just drag in a texture from the content browser into the texture slot of a disabled material instance parameter, which is annoying.

I’ve noticed they’re still around in UE5 as well…

The checkboxes just feel like an added step for no reason.

Agreed. Feels like antiquated design.
