UI Improvemnt Req for Epic: new Content Browsers asset display mode

Hello Epic

My issue? I have great naming conventions for my assets and blueprints, but does it matter? Only if i search for something specific… If i have all assets and blkueprints shown of a specific folder, my naming of things does literally not matter anymore. Why’s that? Because i can’t read NOTHING AT ALL:

Look at these assets and blueprints. I can’t read a single name of any asset. It’s annoying to be honest.

So why wouldn’t you at least add an additional asset/blueprint display mode where the thumbnail/picture is on the left side and the name is on it’s right side and the boxes are longer than high. Cut the height of these asset/blueprint “icons” in half and make the twice or three times as long and voila, you’0d have a proper asset/blueprint display in the content browser that would actually make sense and let’s you read the entire assets name.
Look at this example to know what i exactly mean:

Here you still have the thumbnail (in my case not as important as my name for the asset) and have a full name to profit from. That would make everything so much easier.

So it’s like the list option (which is currently a waste of space), but with multiple columns if you want. like the tiles just better than the current tiles

Please please think about it <3

All the best,
Oli

my opinion:
i personally really don’t use hungarian notation, it’s really subpar imnsho.
if those prefixes are creating usability issues, then they are not that great.
when i have to use it i use postfixes not prefixes.
the content browser has filters to filter by the type so it’s redundant.
and you can add filters in the search bar too.
the fact that the thumbnail shows the type and you also put the type in the name is more unnecessary redundancy. it even has a color for each type.
also you can change the view mode from that grid to list, i found the list to be better for names.
you can change the zoom with ctrl+mousewheel.
redundancy in software development is not a good thing, unless you are talking about server availability and backups. (redundancy is not even good in work processes themselves (3M))

having said that, being able to read the names is good.
