My color picker is gone and the window where it is supposed to be shown is just a small mirror of the actual screen. The color picker is hidden behind the actual twinmotion screen which I cannot access. I reinstalled TM, have the latest nvidia driver. I tried DPI scaling and it did not help. I think it started when I installed some windows .NET update....but not sure. Can anyone help?
Hello Florian and thank you for posting :)
Would you happen to know what version of .net you updated to?
I've seen issues with the color picker but not this particular one...
I imagine you're using the latest version of TM?
Hi MC_JUT.
These were the updates:
2022-09 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11 for x64 (KB5017497)
2022-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5017328)
2022-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5017383)
2022-09 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11 for x64 (KB5017859)
Yes I am using the latest TM version including the recent fix a few days ago and still the same issue.
Thank you
I have been having exactly the same issue. Then suddenly today, when I have gone to take a screen shot to send, it is working again!
Hi there guys, I would love to reproduce this bug.
I'm still trying without any success. If anyone comes out with reproducible steps.
Please let me know
Cheers
MC
Sorry it's taken a while to respond. For me the problem came back very soon after. Here is a screenshot:
I don't have any idea what has changed. I tried installing the very latest Nvidia drivers, no difference.
If I press the Windows start key on the keyboard, both the dialogue and the main window turn into colour pickers like this:
If I switch focus back to Twinmotion, it reverts back to the first image, a mirror of the main UI.
Happy to run ant tests if you want me to try anything?
I’m having the same issue now, weird how when I use the snipping tool the issue is still there but at lease I can see the viewport. I suspect it has something to do with the snipping tool and external display.
I managed to resolve this issue eventually by disabling G-Sync in the NVidia drivers in Windowed mode. It works perfectly now.
Thanks. In my case, it does not bring the color picker UI back permanently but at least I see the menu (when using the snipping tool) till I click on it and it disappears again.
Not sure but maybe as pauljohnson mentioned the printscreen key could have something to do with it? After I screenshotted TM I got s a short flicker when opening the color picker UI. Although so far the UI remains and does not disappear.
Yes, the same happened to me too. The bug came back.
I forced win11 (the update wasn't available for me yet) to install the 22H2 update and for now, the bug is gone.
THIS IS THE SOLUTION, thank you.
