During the Basics UI tutorial, when we get to the part about the “Sources Panel Button”, the dialog is floating in the middle of the screen. Doesn’t seem to point to anything. It states that if the Sources Panel is not visible, one should click the sources panel button, but it’s not clear where that is supposed to be.
See the attached screenshot.
Greetings Arges,
The “Source Panel” button is located in the ‘Content Browser’. It’s beside the search bar, has an arrow pointing towards the left with 3 bars within the button. If you hover over it, it will say “Show or hide the sources panel”. This panel allows you to see the folders within your project a bit more clear, kind of like the Windows Explorer option on Windows.

If you have any further questions, please reply back to this thread and I’ll be more than happy to assist you further.
Thanks!
Hi Samantha,
Thanks, I am aware - I just like going through the tutorials once every few releases to see what has changed, and noticed that. It seems like it would be confusing for first-time users.
Hey Arges,
Thanks for clarifying that you were looking out for newer users. I have entered a bug (UE-11366) for our developers to take a look at the Basics Tutorial.
Thanks!
