I’ve been importing assets that have skeletal meshes I can play around with, however, there is no way to go back to a skeletal mesh I’ve posed to adjust it further if I close the window that originally had the pose. There is no way to my knowledge to save the new pose in a skeletal mesh to be opened up again later.
There are several ways to create new poses and animations in the editor.
From the Skeleton Editor, select bones from the Skeleton Tree on the right and pose them then from the toolbar at the top choose “Create Asset” >> “Create Animation” >> “Current Pose”
Use the Animation Mode in the Level Editor. Although not all features are up and running yet, you can still create Control Rigs and Animations using this toolset.
FK Control Rig is the fastest way to start making new animations
Using the “Bake Animation Sequence” option in Sequencer will create an Animation Sequence Asset for you to use throughout your project.
