Hello.
My UEFN project became invalid after I moved the project folders out of OneDrive.
The project still exists on my PC and I still have all the asset files. The project is also still published in Creator Portal.
Project information:
Project name: NUEVOPROJECTONUVES
Verse Path: /cubankiller2025@fortnite.com/NUEVOPROJECTONUVES
Island Code: 1961-4991-1977
Current problems:
“Project is not valid”
“Project validation failed”
Verification error
UEFN no longer recognizes the Content folder.
The assets still exist on my computer but the project lost the connection to them.
Is there any way to reconnect the existing assets to the original UEFN project without creating a new project?
Thank you.
Hey there!
When using the OneDrive syncing option, the project paths in local may be messed up which breaks the association with the UEFN and Creator Portal when they are moved around.
Before we begin working around this, I think it will help for you all to confirm a few details in order to resolve this completely
-
Folder Structure
Did you move the entire project root folder (containing the .urfn or .uproject file along with Plugins, Content, etc) or were only specific subfolders moved? -
Current Path
Is the new directory path fairly short and stored directly on a local drive (ex. C:\UEFN_Projects)?
Sometimes OneDrive sync paths leave behind hidden junctions or overly long paths that confuse the editor. -
Project File Check
If you open the .urfn file in a text editor (like Notepad).
Does the project ID/module name still match what’s registered on your Creator Portal account?
In the meantime I would recommend double-checking if there are temporary or .tmp locked files from OneDrive in your original project folder.
Sometimes it’s helpful to simply copy (rather than cut) the entire main folder to a new path such as C:\UEFNProjects\NUEVOPROJECTONUVES and open that right up from UEFN’s Browse menu which should re-establish the original file hierarchy and link to your Content folder
Let me know what you found with these paths and we’ll see what we need to do to relink everything!
