Title:
Join-in-Progress players ignore Spawn Limit 1 and respawn indefinitely
Text:
Hello,
I am having an issue with my UEFN project and I am looking for help.
My map is designed as a one-life-per-round mode. For players who are already present when the game starts, everything works correctly: they spawn at the beginning of the round, die once, and then become spectators.
The issue only affects players who join while the game is already in progress.
My current settings are:
Max Players: 32
Teams: automatic / solo setup
Spawn Limit: 1
Join in Progress: Spawn on Next Round
After Last Spawn Go To: Spectating
Respawn Type: Individual
Only Allow Respawn if Spawn Pads Found: On
Manual Respawning: Off
Respawn Alive Players: No
How the bug happens:
The game is already running.
A new player joins during the current round.
The player correctly waits until the next round.
The next round starts and the player spawns normally.
The player dies.
Instead of becoming a spectator, the player respawns again.
Every time the player dies, they respawn again indefinitely.
Players who were already in the match when the game originally started do not have this issue.
I have already tested the following:
Completely removed my Verse team manager
Team assignment is now handled automatically
Verified Spawn Limit is set to 1
Checked Round Settings
Disabled the Join-in-Progress override in the Round Settings device
I do not use a Team Settings & Inventory device
Checked the Player Spawner settings
Tested Respawn Type: Individual
Join in Progress is set to Spawn on Next Round
The issue still happens and only affects Join-in-Progress players.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a reliable workaround?
Could this be a current UEFN Join-in-Progress / Spawn Limit bug?
Thanks in advance for any help.
