UEFN Crash On Load Verse Device

My uefn crashes when I click on a verse device and it loads for about 20 min and then my uefn crashes this is my crash log.

Hi Peewee,

Curious to know how much total RAM your computer has.

As a troubleshooting step - try restarting your computer and launching UEFN as the first thing. (Do not launch anything else)

Also - take a look at what’s currently consuming a lot of RAM (ctrl + shift + esc → Processes → Sort by ‘Memory’) - You may be able to kill some processes to clear up more RAM.

Hey thanks for responding. Im running 32gb Of Ram. I have restarted and launched it did the same thing. It is UEFN that takes up my memory

32GB should be plenty. Is it crashing with any Verse Device? When you say ‘click on Verse Device’ do you just mean selecting it in the viewport? content browser? (or opening the verse file that drives it?) Are you seeing the same crash in other projects?

Best case scenario is to find a way this crash can be reproduced on any computer.

Only this one verse device, others work fine they just take a while to load. Yes selecting it in viewport because i have to edit the editable, No its currently only been this one.

I’d make a Bug Report (‘New Issue’) for it and/or post the Verse Device here so other community Devs could take a look at it and potentially say something like “Hey, that’s not memory safe!”

If possible/reasonable - simplifying the code to only contain what’s causing the crash could help with overall comprehension / bug report traction.

I have 4 of the same verse devices on my map only one of the 4 crashes

Hm, the first thing I wonder is in what way the one that crashes is configured differently than the other 3. (Variables accessible for modification in the Details Panel… References to other devices…)

Its a tycoon so there is 4 plots each with a set of verse devicees
