UEFN Cooking Error

Hi guys,
I have a problem with my UEFN map. I wanted to enter my map today and realised that it doesn’t work because I keep getting this error code:
An error has occurred while cooking the content
errors.com.epicgames.content-service.cook_failure
CookJobId:a13fdcda-a199-459e-854e-50fd2ffbf9b8
An error has occurred during communication with the game servers (failed to cook module adaaab3e-49d6-05b5-bd4d-40b5ffdf40f3 (artifact 8ae7d9f9-da89-4e25-bdcf-69c3478628bd:ps5) (cookJobId a13fdcda-a199-459e-854e-50fd2ffbf9b8) with error code errors.com.epicgames.cookplugin.assetvalidationerror).

Can someone please help me here, I’ve already contacted Epic Games but they said they can’t help me and I should write a post here.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hey!

From my experience, this usually occurs when an asset fails validation (as indicated by the error code: errors.com.epicgames.cookplugin.assetvalidationerror).

If you have imported any assets (images, meshes, etc.), try the “Validate Project” option located in the menu after clicking the 3 dots next to the “Launch Session” button.

If that still does not work, try the “Upload to Private Version” option. This will usually provide a more detailed breakdown of the assets that are failing validation in a message log. You should then be able to manually validate/fix up the conflicting assets.

Also, as a side note, make sure your project is under 400MB.

Let me know if this helps!

Hey, thanks for your help. I tried everything but unfortunately it didn’t work. :frowning:

I’m sorry about that. Pushing to a private version gave me list of the assets that were failing validation, which helped me fix them.

I’m not really sure what else could be causing the problem, but if you have images/textures imported, make sure they’re all to the power of two.
