HELP!!: i have packaged a VR game successfully from UE5, but now the editor won’t open! It gets stuck on “35% - Compiling Global Shaders”. Been stuck on that for 2 hours. Any suggestions would be seriously appreciated.
It could be just compiling shaders. You can tell by looking in the task manager, pop open the unreal editor process, it will say ‘shader compiler worker’ many times.
Generally speaking, if you have packaged ready for distribution, the system should have already baked all the shaders.

I packaged using what you posted and the game works well. I have even tried opening a copy in 5.2, but that does the same. freezes at 35%- processing global shader DDC requests. Are there any folders I can delete like cache that may make a difference. It just seems strange that it won’t open in either editor version.
Wooooaahh. Just worked it out. Oculus store was open. I shut that down and now it opens in both editors. Weird. Obviously a bug somewhere, but I blame Oculus (Bloody Zuckerborg!!)
